How big is baby: Little miss is measuring in over 18 inches and 5.25 pounds.
Weight gain/loss: Right at 21lbs again. Looking back, when I was 35w with Ezra we’d just shot our maternity session and went camping and while I said that I didn’t weigh myself . . . I did at some point between 34-26w and I tracked a 6 lbs weight gain! I’m hoping to avoid repeating this, because I distinctly remember thinking “Well, pictures are done, so how much damage can I really do?”
Stretch marks: After two pregnancies, I somehow still don't have any.
Sleep: So much for remembering what sleep is. Ezra ended up with croup on Saturday night and unfortunately has had a 103-104F fever off and on ever since. Neither Tony or I were too alarmed, because the high fever was a symptom of croup, but today after 4 days of this nonsense, we’re bringing him in. I’ve been up with him several times throughout the night the last two nights and this girl is spent.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Hard apple cider. A tall Dos Equis Especial with limes. A refreshing Riesling. Also, random, two weeks ago we had friends over for tacos and let me tell you . . . those gosh darn flour tortillas practically sing to me every time I open the fridge. All I want is a cheesy gooey chicken quesadilla with sour cream!
Movement: My goodness this girl can stretch out in a small space.
What I'm loving: Tony totally came through last weekend! We now know that 3 carseats can and will fit into our vehicles [2 Diono Radians and a Safety 1st Infant Carrier]. The spin off of knowing this, is that we now know we don’t have to spend any of our saved money on a new to us vehicle, which means I can take the full 12 weeks off, without trying to do the PT work from home nonsense like I did last time.
It’s like all of my stress has been removed, well, aside from the who/what/where/when questions of the delivery and two crazy boys. But in comparison to only qualifying for short term disability to the day that Isaac was born and needing to shoot at wedding at 37w with Ezra [just two weeks before he was born], being relatively stress free 5 weeks before little miss is HUGE!
Symptoms: Leg cramps are back with a vengeance. I hate succumbing to marketing, but I don’t seem to have any on days when I drink coconut water . . . but it’s so dang expensive to have as a daily habit. Other than sleep and normal body aches and stiffness, from reading back on my update with Ezra, I think I’m doing pretty well!
What I'm looking forward to: The first weekend of April. I’m going to take Friday off of work and we’re going to have a Fontaine Family Fun Day. We plan to go out to breakfast, then something super fun, lunch, drop Tony off at work for ½ the day, boys home for nap time and then something equally fun for the evening! Then on Saturday the 6th, I’m getting my hair done and going shopping with my Mom like we traditionally do before the little one arrives. To finish it out, my baby sprinkle is on the 7th hosted by my wonderful sister in law. And I might be crazy for considering it fun, but I have my 39w appt with Fern on the 8th and we’ve already agreed to strip my membranes in hopes to get baby out before she and Gina leave me.
Best moment of the week: Hmm, I bet it’s still coming.
How I'm feeling: Other than extreme exhaustion, I’m feeling good. I’m feeling like we’re finally getting ready!
