Over the last few weeks, I started talking to Isaac about going on a date with me. Some of the things I mentioned to pique his interest were that it'd just be the two of us and that'd we get special food.
I wasn't certain where or when our date would take place, but it quickly shaped up Sunday morning after my family session wrapped up. With an hour to kill before church, I called Tony as I was returning home to ask him to get Isaac ready for our date.
Unfortunately, just in between that phone call ending and my returning home to take him to Panera, he ended up taking his second digger into the footboard of our bed while not listening to Tony. Poor little guy is quite the bruiser.
It definitely seemed like the crash had an effect on his mood, as he was quite Jekyll and Hyde about our date. One minute he was telling me how much he loved it and the next he was completely sullen.
I just went along the rollercoaster with him and thankfully as we were packing up to come home, he tipped back to loving our date.
It was great to spend some uninterrupted time with my bud and I love even more that he's talking about our next date . . . at mini golf.
