Wait and See

Thursday, May 31, 2012

Saturday night, while I laid next to Isaac in the camper as he settled down to go to sleep, we had some pretty sweet conversations. After a few minutes of just tender talk with my oldest, I told him "Isaac, you're amazing." His response? "Mama, I love Jesus. And God."

Of course I started crying.

For all the times that I've questioned myself and our choices.

For all the times lately that asking Isaac to pray with us has triggered anger.

Oh it was a balm to my heart.

So was this blog post, also sent my way by encouraging reader via email.

This boy? He's a certifiable stinker, but God's not through with him yet.

I thought of you this weekend. I was spending some time with some other mommies (who have boys around Jacks age) and they ALL agreed, that three was WAY more challenging than two. I know you get a lot of support here on your blog, but I just wanted you to know that it seems that moms around the country agree with you! Three years old is a tough age!

Isaac is a sweetie, he will do BIG things with that strong will and determination. You are giving him the foundation, and foundations are not easy to build. You and Tony are doing a great job.

What a sweet blessing after all the struggles you've had recently! God cares about the little things! He's not done with you or your little guys yet!
