- I didn't mean to be so challenging with the last post! I thought it would be quite easy to determine, but my photography is the last comparison! Between the two years between the shots in the last post, the difference was very dramatic to me. There were some really good guesses though! I will definitely state for the record that I am not pregnant, haha!

- Tuesday night, Isaac fell off of the arm of the chair that I sit in while I nurse and edit. I was in the middle of telling him that it wasn't safe and that he needed to get down, when, bam, there he went. He fell on top of his toy gator and in the 5 seconds it took me to put Ezra down and attend to Isaac, there were already a few pools of blood on the floor. I'm not sure if he hit his nose on the gator or the hardwood floor, but it was bleeding badly. Unfortunately, unlike when he got the nosebleed before, this time Tony wasn't home. I started to fight the urge to panic, as the bleeding continued quite profusely and Isaac continued to sob. I knew I had to get his crying under control, otherwise the blood would just continue!

To make matters worse, he's been battling a stuffy nose lately, so in the middle of crying he would start choking and gagging on the blood and snotty nose. At one point he even coughed and ended up spraying me with some blood. Oh boy, that set him off even worse to see his blood on my face.

After a good five minutes of sobbing and bleeding, I could tell that, thank the Lord, the blood was slowing, so I tried to get Isaac to talk to me about his tractor. He looked at me like I was crazy the first couple of attempts, but eventually calmed down enough to carry a conversation. He's started this phase where he wants to just run around in a diaper before going down for the night, so he had blood all on his body and his diaper, but he would not let me wipe him down more than a dry paper towel!

Augh, it was so scary, but thankfully it ended well. To top it off, Ezra just laid on the chair where I placed him and didn't make a peep. I can't even imagine the scene above if he'd been crying too!

- I dropped my phone in a creek while shooting an engagement session last week and I'm so upset, because I am set for my upgrade discount on November 19th! And when I say upgrade discount, I mean the 2 year one, because I haven't gotten a new phone in two years! I was so excited to move on up to the iPhone, especially since after a $100 Verizon gift card, we'll only be paying $50 . . . until with a month to go, I dropped my phone in a creek. And before you ask, no, rice didn't work. What did though, was this girl offering to let me borrow her phone! So grateful for Sarah! Just a month to go now!

- Oh, and it's my birthday today.

Man, what a surprise to see a link to my blog on here! You're too sweet Leah - I couldn't not have given you my phone!

Reading the story about Isaac's nosebleed made me cringe. I definitely would have panicked and would have ended up crying myself! I don't know how I'm going to hold myself together when San and I have kids. Maybe in a couple years I will be tougher, but I doubt it. It's got to be horrible to see your little one suffer (especially when blood is involved).

I could not for the life of me figure out what you were referring to in your last post, either. I thought for sure you were pregnant, but I thought it would be way too early to announce it, so I was stumped. Now it's so clear to me, but I wasn't thinking along those lines when I read it. You have come so far but you definitely had talent from the beginning. I'm hoping in a couple years I'll look back and see that I've come a long way, too!

And lastly, happy birthday!!! I hope you get to spend the night with the three amazing men in your life. Eat something indulgent off your Pinterest - I just discovered your boards and pinned the heck out of everything.

The whole scene, as it played out in your post, sounds horrible. Poor thing. I would be crying with him, for sure. I couldn't imagine having to deal with that on your own. Glad that Ezra is such a trooper!

The whole phone in the creek sounds awful and the fact that the rice didn't work stinks! Ugh.

Glad that the iphone is in your future.

Lastly, I hope you have a great day and an awesome birthday. Is it gross and rainy there? If so, don't let it get you down!

I don't know how, but every year, I forget that your birthday is the same day as our anniversary. I should know that by now! Happy birthday, Leah!!

The nosebleed...ack!! I would have been hard pressed to keep it together. Poor Isaac and poor mama.

Down with the bb. Yay for iPhones!!! :)

...what a crazy situation...and so much to deal with, with only two hands. Sounds like you handled it well...that's the best thing to do: remind yourself to keep calm.

...dropping your phone in a creek...uughhh is all that comes to mind. Fingers crossed for you, that you are able to upgrade/get a new phone.

Last but not least: HAPPY birthday. I enjoy reading your blog...I hope you have a wonderful day! : )

Glad the chaos with the nosebleed is under control and everyone survived!

Sometimes if you talk to the Verizon people they will let you upgrade early! If you have been with Verizon for a long time (sounds like you have) you can ask them to make an exception to their policy based on your loyalty...worth a try!

Glad Isaac is okay!

Happy Birthday! A similar thing happened to me last year shortly before I could upgrade. I will have to say... the iphone is worth the wait. Glad you could borrow a friends phone for now.
Nose bleeds are scary. Sounds like you handled it like a rock star. ;-)

Happy Birthday! I have a slew of old Verizon phones over here if you drop this one in a creek :).

Also, Thomas fell on the cement and had his first bloody nose on Saturday. My SIL was here and I just scooped him up and carried him to the sink. She called me later and was amazed that I didn't freak out - so apparently all the blood we dealt with when he had surgery has totally desensitized me, because I was like, "Oh, a bloody nose. Ok, this is new".

I'm so sorry about what happened to Isaac! How scary!

And about your phone, gosh that sucks. I dropped my phone in the toilet once and wasn't eligible for an upgrade for 6 months :(

In happier news - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Oh Lord, sorry about your phone. Sigh - this happened to my husband just two weeks ago :( His upgrade is not until Feb 2012 so I'm not sure what we will do. It happens to the best of us.

How scary for you - blood used to make me panic like crazy. You did the right thing with your tractor talk to calm him down. Poor guy.

Have a great weekend, Leah!
