33w2d & 33w3d

No bare belly shot because I decided to be awesome and screw things up by wearing a dress today. Clothing myself is getting a little rough these days, both in coming up with outfits and literally bending over and what not. I felt very accomplished today just shaving my legs.

33w2d with Baby Love vs 33w with Isaac.
Both old and non-mat: AE dress and ON cardi. Oh and I've repeatedly failed to mention it, but I love my headband that I bought almost a year ago from 25 Designs!

*Edited: Yeah, I just had to come back with additional pictures. I need consistent photos for comparison sake! So this post has both 33w2d and below 33w3d pictures.

From my weekly email: This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

How far along?: 33w2d
How big is baby?: 17 inches with legs extended and 4lbs.
Weight gain/loss?: Up to 23lbs.
Stretch marks?: None, thankfully.
Maternity clothes?: I hate maternity clothes.
Sleep?: I'm waking up sore consistently, but don't know if that's due to sleep or activity.
Food cravings?: I want a turkey burger so badly.
Gender?: We're having another son!
Movement?: Markedly less, but not to the point that I've done kick counts yet.
Belly button?: No turkey baster yet, but it's a lost cause.
What are you looking forward to this week?: Spending time with my family.

Notables: Baby Love's probable name has been flying around our house lately and I feel better and better about it, especially considering the 2010 SSA Top 100 Names by State came out and it's not listed! It should be said though that Isaac climbed 3 spots to #17, the other two names that round out our top three in consideration for Baby Love are listed and it's just craziness to me that Levi was #32 in the state of Minnesota last year!

I've never made it a habit to speak to my unborn children, but I have been having one conversation with Baby Love recently. I'm basically begging him to be under 8lbs. I don't think there's anything magical about this threshold, I just know that the trend is for each subsequent child to be larger than the one that proceeded it . . .

I really will go off on the next person to speak rudely of my pregnancy.

I am so freaking excited for tomorrow! First, because it's our maternity/family session! I'm quick to tell anyone that maternity pictures are not my most favorite. I think it takes a really skilled photographer to move past the campy, cheesy and unfortunately sometimes downright creepy to successfully shoot a beautiful maternity session. I think I have two golden tickets to love my sunrise session, the first is GINA and the second is my family. Me and my big old belly are kind of just the filler. And did you catch that one little word I wiggled in there? Yes, sunrise, as in we're trekking it across town to do our session at the same location we shot last fall by 5:45am. I truly believe it will be worth all of the yawns and crankiness the rest of the day may bring! It should also be said, that I love that Tony didn't even bat an eye when I first suggested a sunrise session.

And secondly, well, just secondly has to do with my brother, but I'm not going to share more. :)

Well I think you look fabulous! I've had a kid and I forget how big bellies grow, ya know? The difference is I don't SAY anything. You don't look that big to me...maybe he'll be small. Gooner was 8.6... Maybe I should stop having kids. I do NOT want a nine pounder...like I was.

Well, you look adorable and you're right about the whole dress putting a damper on the bare belly shot... ha!

I'm so excited to see what Gina does and I commend you for getting up at 5:45am to get it completed! Wowzers!

Honestly you look really slim to me for being as far along as you are. I've seen some women who... well.. don't carry the baby weight as well as you do.

Can't wait to see the photos! You are brave for doing 5:45am, but I have no doubt it will pay off.

Your last line is intriguing :)

I don't understand people. I don't think I ever will.

You do not look anywhere near ready to deliver. Honestly. You don't look far enough along yet (duh...because you aren't!)

And yes, your last line about your brother has me very, very curious :)

My second boy was 8.6lbs but he seemed tinier than my first 7 lber so I wouldn't worry too much about that! You look adorable and I can't wait to see the sunrise photos!

Hi Leah - if Gina is taking the pics I know they will turn out amazing. Considering how photogenic you, Tony, and Isaac are, this is a win/win scenario. A sunrise shoot?? How freaking cool - I hope it goes well and cannot wait to see your pics. I've been commenting on Gina's website, she really rocks. I so wish I could have you two do a photo session of me and my pup :):)

Have fun and enjoy nature's wonders :)
