Going to Level

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

These last few weeks, especially since I returned from Phoenix, have been rough.

My quest to be a supporting wife has been completely shot down and I certainly feel like I'm under attack.

Tony and I have found each other at odds more than not.

Our schedules with hockey ramping up and my continual need to edit have not been kind to either of us.

There are just so many things.

Last night was pretty brutal though. Isaac has a cold right now that kept all three of us up throughout the night, as he kept waking up to fuss and cry. Poor little guy can't breathe through his nose, so it's completely understandable. I developed a migraine at 3:00am though and it's still lingering with me now. All I want is to crawl into bed.

I know that just a few days before Thanksgiving, I should be writing posts about all of the gifts in my life that I am thankful for. Today though, that would be blowing smoke up your patoot and I just don't have it in me.

Married life is definitely not always rainbows and butterflies. I hope things look up for you soon.

Hang in there, Leah. This is a stressful time of year for many. I love that you say what so many of us feel.

This brings me comfort, as I hope it will for you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

hang in there Leah! I hate when Joe and I just cant get on the same page or having been doing enough together. This is temporary for hopefully a career of happiness on your end! (photography)

bummer about Isaac. I just hate when they are sick.

You know, I have recently been thinking about how whenever either J or I tries to make changes in our life that would bring God into a greater place of importance, we really have to fight to make it happen. I believe that happens because Satan is working against us--trying to sabotage our relationship with God.

Sometimes, thinking of it that way makes me want to fight harder.

days like that SUCK . I promise you the lack of sleep is the biggest factor. Hang in there lady, get some rest and you'll be back to your happy self in no time.

Sorry Isaac is sick. That's rough when they can't breathe and you're up all night with them. I hope he gets better soon. You'll all feel better once you get some restful nights of sleep. :)

I love you. I know you can do this - Satan is trying to bring you down and take away all the growth you experience in Phoenix, don't let him. Keep on doing it and putting all of your love into it; you can move mountains Leah.

So sorry! Hang in there! Maybe take a look through your wedding pictures or a video? May give you the mushiness you need!

I'm sorry. Marriage is hard. Being a Mom is hard. It really is. And I don't know if your financial matters are all settled but if you add THAT in, you just get a whole lot of stress. I'm just sorry. It WILL get better.

Sorry things have been rough, Leah - I hope that you can push thru the negative stuff and focus on what really matters: you, Tony, Isaac, and your love for each other. God has his hands on you today - feel his peace.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving

the last line of your post was priceless!
