30 Day Beard

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Finally. Finally. Finally. Praise the Lord it is over!

Tony can officially say that he won the bet. He grew his beard from June 12th to July 12th, with even a few extra hours thrown in.
Beard

Now, I said it before and I'll say it again. I love my husband's face and with a beard was no exception . . . I just wish he'd been able to trim and make it look groomed! If there's a next time, it'll go down with those stipulations. A lot of people gave Tony grief for growing a beard in the middle of summer, but really, he can't grow one in the winter. His officiating duties require that he be clean shaven, so the middle of summer was the only choice.

FYI, this is not the man I married. Run away {screaming} Run away!

Too funny!

I don't mind a beard either (I actually requested that Justin NOT shave his for our wedding!), but I also much prefer it being trimmed and neatened up a bit.

My husband struggles to grow any facial hair at all so the fact that he can do this is a talent! Not all men can.

That last picture is hilarious and scary all in the same breathe. Seems like he should do that for a halloween costume or something... if he hasn't already!

He was totally resembling Grizzly Adams!

He's got to feel like a whole new man today.

Good job Tony!

Way to go {to both of you :)} for sticking it out! I like a little scruff, but I don't think I could handle Mike with an all-out beard. And that last picture...hilarious! Or frightening.

My husband can't have facial hair for work either so every time we go on vacation, he grows it out. I don't love it but then when we get back he shaves it the same way ur hubby did in the last pic...I hate when he does that...too funny!!

OK, my hubs did a beard growing thing too (I think it was around a month) and he has pretty much had the exact same frightening photo of the mustache he left when shaving it off. It has been his fb and twitter profile pic for over a year now. Every time I see it I cringe. UGH!!

We made a deal. I let my hubs grow his out every Halloween and he lets me fro out my hair specially for that day. That is the only time he gets free reign on the facial hair and the only time I can safely walk around with a poof on my head. Kind of funny to see what they choose to shave it into once that time finally comes! Hallelujah!

John always has some facial hair but a few weeks ago I noticed he hadn't shaven for days. I asked him what the deal was and he told me he was growing a beard. Um...in the summer? I don't know how I hadn't noticed until it got to the point it had but we did negotiate a more appropriate time for it (whenit's COLD!) and he shaved it off. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of beards but I do like a goatee.

Ha! It's funny how guys get so excited about being able to grow facial hair.

Once Chef cut his 3 day beard in a mustache. Like a child molester type stache and then went to work. All day long. I was appalled and shocked when I saw it! HA!

Too funny.. However, very creepy.. Think that I would definitely run in a different direction if Tony came at me looking like his last pic..

LOL at the Handlebar Mustache. I don't mind facial hair, but I hate the prickliness of them when they're beginning which is pretty much 2 months for John.

PS - Anytime you want to come down for the Hinchman Olympics you are more than welcome! San Antonio is a great vacation destination and cute babies are always welcome! :)
