Wedded Wednesday is a collaboration

Here's two recent situations that shed some light on the intricacies, love and ultimate fortitude of our marriage. Er, not. They do showcase that Tony is my main squeeze, even when he's trying to eat his foot to avoid saying something else. :)

Scene 1: Tony and Isaac were rough-housing, with a bit of jostling and shrieking. Of course when this happens, one thing is bound to occur, someone gets hurt. This time it was Tony. Isaac nailed him, well where guys get hurt.
Tony: [groaning] Not cool Isaac, not cool.
Me: Now imagine that times 1,000 and you've got the birth of your son.
Tony: I don't think so.
Me: [giving the evil eye]
Tony: [stammering to save face] I mean, I don't think that would even compare.
Me: Nice try buddy.

Scene 2: With Isaac on my hip, I opened the door to our basement stairs to place a bag on a hook. As this was happening, Tony came up behind me to give me a good-natured pat. I swear it's like his security blanket the man and my butt. Being that I was standing over a stairwell with our son, I did not appreciate the gesture!
Me: You probably shouldn't be making me jump while I'm holding our son over the stairs.
Tony: What? You're a sturdy woman.
Me: [raised eyebrow]
Tony: C'mon! You know what I mean! You're athletic, you're not going to be knocked off your feet.

And these totally don't seem as funny now that I've written them, but they're what I had in mind to post! Hah! Hopefully some of you can find the humor. :)

Haha... I totally see the humor - that's hilarious!!! My husband told me while we were still dating that he thought I had nice "child-bearing" hips! Wow... and he actually thought that was a compliment :)

ahaha, these are hilarious! I swear I think Tony and my husband are twins seperated at birth. Some of your stories are verbatim for my life!
