Stress is my friend.

Or not. So yesterday I mentioned that there's a lot going on right now. You know how interviewers always ask, "How do you respond to pressure?" I have always answered that I thrive in stressful situations, because 9 times out of 10, it's the truth. Yesterday, was not one of those days.

Yesterday, as I was reciting the list of things I needed to prepare for Isaac's birthday party and dedication on Sunday, while mentally reviewing what must be accomplished before my first primary wedding today, I hopped on the bus like normal.

On the bus out came the notepad, with separate to-do lists for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A few lines crossed out, a couple of additions and I moved on to my bride's timeline/shot list for the wedding today. I exchanged a couple of looks with other passengers, as the bus driver seemed to be on a terror to make a new record for the route. Fine by me, I thought, it'll just get me moving on to my errands faster!

Just as we pulled into the Park and Ride, it hit me as I surveyed the parking lot for my vehicle. I drove to work.

The stress has just not been manageable this week, to say the least. Thankfully I haven't cracked yet, just a stupid mistake like last night. Although, I think that after riding the bus for almost 4 years off and on that this was bound to happen at least once!

I've done things like that before. Tried to figure out why my car wasn't in the parking lot before realising my other half had it. Or driving somewhere only to walk back as I rarely drive there. Easily done!

Oh no! And of course it happens when you have a million things to do.

Well, in spite of the stress, I'm very excited to see pics of both the wedding and Isaac's birthday!

Haha, that's hilarious. Hopefully you can laugh about it later.

OMG, that sucks. I totally would have done the same thing at one point. It's funny that today I've read several posts on stress and not having enough time. I just wrote a post on the same topic. Looks like we all have a lot going on right now!

Oh dear! Sorry but I definitely laughed at this. So unfortunate but definitely something you'll look back and laugh about. Oh Leah-I feel you on the stress. Hopefully things slow down soon and you can take a much needed rest. :)

Your story reminds me of the laughing cow cheese commercial.

Sorry everything had been so stressful, hopefully after this weekend everything will settle down. Best of luck :-)

Sadly, I've done that before too.

Ah! I am always paranoid that I am going to do that too! Sometimes I will drive to the other end of the metro line and go in to work from there.. I always have to remind myself all day to go the OTHER way on the metro!

Oh Leah! I haven't been keeping up-to-date with blogs lately but I just read your last several posts. I wanted to offer you some support and let you know that I'm praying for you and your family for Tony's job situation and your grandma. I also wanted to say congratulations on the new job AND of course I have to say how absolutely PRECIOUS Isaac is! He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!

Congrats on the new job!!!

I hope you can laugh at the bus/car mix up. Darn stress!

Hope things improve soon. I appreciate how you always share the ups and downs of life and keep it all in perspective.

That is so something I would do, too! At least you had time to update your lists?

That sucks, but it's kinda funny. So what did you to? Call Tony and have him drive you back to work?
