Unexpected Blessings

Friday, March 12, 2010

These past few weeks have been a struggle, with a capital S and well, the T-R--U-G-G-L-E too.

For circumstances I have disclosed and a few that I haven't money is ridiculously tight right now. And when I say tight, well, eh we're not making ends meet. Between the extra sessions and Tony's reffing we're making a good go of it though! God is good and we're okay.

In just one of His many ways, my heart was uplifted yesterday by meeting Abbey. We've been trying to get together for a few months, but know the struggle of life steering the calendar. There were a few extra Caribou locations visited, and I needed help from Gina in finding where Abbey was hiding from me, but it was so worth it.

What a girl after my own heart! Abbey has a successful photography business, which apparently is a running theme in my new friends. Hah! Additionally, wouldn't you know, she played soccer and is a confident beautiful Christian married woman. Love it. The conversation flowed so easily, it was unexpected when Isaac clued me in on the passing of time. Poor babe was tired! We had a long day yesterday, but that's a post in itself to come. Abbey thanks for sticking with me, I think we both needed the conversation last night! :)

I hope that you guys all have a fantastic weekend! I've got a wedding consultation, 2 year session and a little shindig in the evening tomorrow!

God's provision is amazing, isn't it? On paper our finances do not work AT ALL with our bills since hubs has lost his job, and yet God has provided every.single need that we've had. Absolutely amazing.

I hear ya on things being tight. Well... for us, tight is an understatement. I have no clue how we're still managing except that God is beyond faithful. I hate it when people say "I know things are tight after you have a baby, but you just have to learn to cutback and make some sacrifices" We have cutback and sacrificed all we know how to, and it's still not enough, but God is really showing me how much He is the one taking care of us. What a testimony that He is blessing your gift of photography! :)

Pretty much since Noah and I got married, we were financially doomed. He lost his job (which was a work from home job...since I went to college in the middle of no where and still had 2 years left) 2 months after we got married. Immediately we had to get some credit cards to survive and it has doomed us. It's like we can never catch up. I'll admit we are terrible with money and are bad about saving up for leaner times (my husband is a realtor which is truly feast of famine). All of a sudden in the past 2 months, everything has crashed down around us and we are tighter than ever on budget. It is so stressful and makes every action with your husband like trudging through mud. I'm so sorry for you because I'm feeling it and it is rough. And this has just been in the past two months for us.
BUT God is amazing and has proven over and over that he will provide. I'm SO glad your photography is taking off! You definitely have talent!

Leah, I find myself thinking of you, Tony, and Isaac often. I'm so sorry that you're encountering such serious financial troubles, and I know it's difficult to trust that everything will work out. I'll keep you in my prayers!

I'm so sorry you're having money woes. We're going through the same thing. Isn't it just the pits? It really causes extra stress in every part of your life!

Worst part is I can't even try to find a job right now due to being pregnant and due in May! Another baby = more expenses and we're definitely nervous. But I'm holding tight to the hope that God will prevail in our situation.

It also helps to know that we're not the only ones going through this.
