Little Tough Guy

Isaac does this thing now where he bounces on his bottom so much that he can almost get to standing.

Well wouldn't you know . . . I was egging him on while he was doing this on the bed. I was right there. Less than an extension of my forearm away. And yet, it still happened. He bonked right onto the footboard.

Oh the tears. Oh my repetition of "I'm so sorry. Momma's sorry." Poor little guy. Went from having a blast and giggling with me to his first black eye. :(

Tony of course couldn't be more proud, he says he's well on his way to being a hockey player. Let's just keep those teeth intact!

Geez, he is so cute! This is a great picture of him.

And oh, the guilt of being right there when he hurt himself. :( But like LCT said, it happens, especially with little boys!

Poor guy! Have you gotten the evil eye at the grocery store yet? My mom still talks about the looks she used to get after my first black eye!

How awful! But it looks like no long term damage was done...look at the smile on his face!

oh no! I totally know how you feel! When my son Ethan was 14 months we were playing on the bed having fun and then next thing I knew, he fell and hit his head right on the corner of the window seal! Blood gushed everywhere and we had to take him to the E.R. where they 'glued' up his first wound. I felt so horrible, I was bawling and could barely even talk the lady at the front desk! The first bruises are always the worst! Of course my Shane, like Tony, just thought it was cool and had to remind me of all the worse things that he did as a kid. Oh what we have to look forward to!
P.S. Ethan is also going to be a hockey player and I too I am very worried about those precious teeth! ;)

I love that picture of him! So much hair, and those eyes!!! I'm sure that sweet little face will forgive you and he will be back to playing the same game in no time! :)
