Isaac 090

Our family seems to be under attack right now, or as the saying goes "when it rains, it pours."

Isaac started to show signs of being sick early Friday night, with an infrequent cough. The highlight of my night was being locked out of the house due to a vehicle and key switcheroo, so that my car's heat could be fixed ($50!).

By Saturday morning the cough was very prominent, accompanied by a stuffed nose. I had no clue how bad that night would be.

The only sleep Isaac and I got was when he slept on me, propped up in the glider. These bouts of sleep were very short lived. He also kept arching away at the breast when in bed, screaming. My poor little guy just could not get relief. :(

It was by far the worst night since he was a new born.

Last night was definitely a step in the right direction, as we did get some sleep, save for the slight punctuation of Isaac losing his diaper around 3:00 am . . . resulting in my being directly peed on. At least Tony and I found it funny!

Thankfully Isaac was able to snag an appointment today and we've been given the word that he has a slight case of Bronchitis. We're very hopeful that Isaac will have a quick response to the amoxicillin.

I'm sure due to the sleeplessness of the weekend, I had to battle with a migraine today at work. Nothing less than prescription meds usually touch my migraines, which not only was I without, but actually are off limits due to nursing. Today was roooough and I'm so looking forward to eating a meal! I thought I was going to lose it frequently throughout the day, so I didn't have much of an appetite. I'm really hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

**Picture relates 3 things:
1). Bags under Isaac's eyes due to poor sleep
2). His two [count them] two teeth
3). That even though he has mastered his sippy cup, he doesn't always want to drink the water he gulps into his mouth - resulting in a super soaked shirt!

Hang in there, girl. When it rains, it sure does pour. But I've noticed that when bad things keep piling up, there's usually a blessing at the end. Keep your head up!

I hope things get better for you! It really stinks when you get one punch after another :( On a happy note, Mr. Soaked T-Shirt looks adorable :)

I hope little Issac gets feeling better soon! I hope your migraine went away too!

I feel your pain on the sleepless nights, for the past two nights C has been up every two hours. She has five teeth coming in at once and she is not a happy camper.

Hope your little man starts feeling better soon. Nothing is worse than a miserable little one, since they really don't understand.

And by the way, I love the new header! Such sweet pictures.

Aww, nothing worse than a sick kiddo. I can only imagine. I have been fortunate so far, but I don't look forward to that. Keep your head up, and I hope you both get to feeling better!

Isn't it funny how babies can be sick and still have the happiest little smile? It's inspiration for me since I am the whiniest biotch when I'm sick, lol.

I hope he gets to feeling better. NOTHING worse than seeing your baby sick.

Poor little guy! At least he looks pretty happy in that photo :) Hope you're both feeling better, and yay for fixed heat (though you shouldn't need it this week for our heat wave)!

These are the days when we really have to count the blessings the Lord has given us.
I was reading this post with Cam in my lap, and he took his paci out of his mouth and kept saying "baybee! baybee!", referring to the picture if Issaac. ;)

That sucks so bad! There is nothing worse than a sick baby. My husband and I have been deathly ill this past week ( on a 12/15 hour road trip one way and back for a wedding...oh it was just miserable). I should be posting it someday because it was just too terrible not to. Now Barclay is coughing and I'm like...is it going to end. The worst is I know how bad it feels and if he feels like that....and I can't fix it....:-(
Hope your rain stops soon!
