On your suggestions, I did call Medela. Our conversation was short, but she did provide me with the notion that I should replace the power cord. This was all that was divulged, as I truthfully stated I did not purchase the pump but was given it by my sister-in-law. I knew that it was single user pump, but did not know that the customer service rep was required by the FDA to discontinue our conversation. I'm not upset about it, but it was another frustration. [Let is be known, my SIL did not use the pump].
So, since that was our first and only option . . . Tony set out for a 9 VDC, which suprisingly was hard to find. We made due though, or Tony did by adapting the pump. :)

SO glad that it worked! Way to go, Tony.
Very resourceful!
Wow, way to be resourceful!! Glad you got it working again!
Are you serious, because you weren't the original "owner" she couldn't talk to you? Wow! Remind me not indulge in that information if I ever have a problem with my Madela (which I bought off a friend who never used hers either!)
I am glad it's fixed though!
So glad it is fixed!
Oh, good! What a handy man that Tony guy is ;)
Oh this is so good! Those pumps are so incredibly expensive and I still have to buy mine! Not looking forward to that bill though!
Yeah Tony! This is so something that my dad would have done!
YAY! What an answer to prayer!!!
I'm so glad it's working! And this totally looks like something John would do!
He did a great job. I am so glad that you didn't need to buy a new one!
Wow, I cannot believe they couldn't talk to you. Nice of her to help you out a little though. Way to go Tony on getting it fixed!!
