We only have one key to our car. We were supposed to get two when we bought it, but there was something wrong with the sensor, so one was it.
Tony needed to trade vehicles with me today, so he asked that I leave my car unlocked with the keys under the mat at the P&R. I was just leaving the vehicle as my bus pulled up and thankfully remembered to put the keys under the mat. I text messaged Tony to let him know that I successfully remembered and was so proud of myself.
He just called me now. I locked the doors {which I never do! There's nothing of value in our car and I always have my hands full with either multiple bags or Isaac's carseat so it's easier to get in.}.
Idiot.
Hopefully the cops will be able to come and open it, but Tony has to cancel an appointment now. :(
Idiot.

My doors automatically lock after a short period of time (10 maybe 15 minutes?) which we found out right before I was supposed to leave for a bridal shower- which I was already late for.
Ah... your not an idiot!! Don't tell, but I locked my SON in the car once by accident. I felt terrible and had to cops come right away!! Very scary, but he was all good! Just a lesson learned, that's all! ;)
Not an idiot, just human :)
If you're an idiot, I should be disqualified for clown school! I do this about 5 times a year (minimum-- literally!).
Don't beat yourself up-- it's a human little error :)
that sounds like something I would do! Being so careful in one way, and forgetful in another!
I've done this before too. But I locked my purse, keys, cell phones, ect. in the trunk while in the Target parking lot. And of course it was a different Target from normal, so when my parents tried to come pick us up, they didn't find us. It was a long night!
Bummer!
Do you not have AAA?
They are much more gentle about opening the doors than a cop! :)
I second AAA!~ They are LIFESAVERS!
Ps. You're not an idiot by any means! Stuff happens, it's ok! :)
Ummmm yeah....been there done that...don't beat yourself up! Although I know how frustrating it can be! I hope he was able to reschedule...
Dont worry honey, i do stuff like that AAAALLL the time! I'm so absent minded. We are only human, so don't be too hard on yourself!
