Amber's Wedding

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

I really tried my best to trim down this post . . . but I just couldn't! These photos are my favorites, but are not truly indicative of the day or all of the pictures I took. Additionally, they are SOOC {except for the last one}, not for lack of wanting to edit, but I don't have the patience, time or know how!

The wedding was fabulous and such a great learning experience!

Many, many thanks to my girl Gina for the pep talk just a few hours before, as well as direct pointers on how to get the most out of every situation! I couldn't have done it without you!

I think it is awesome that the bride wore no makeup and went au naturel. I was reading another blog and the bride was given a lot of grief for saying she wanted her face to be the way her groom is used to seeing it; people tore her to shreds. The best weddings are those where the bride feels most comfy. :) I love the wedding colors, too.

These are wonderful Leah! Great job on the bokeh--which lens did you use?

Also, I really, REALLY want those turquoise shoes. Even though I'd never wear them!

Mer - the majority were shot with my 50mm!

Thanks you guys!

Leah, I looked at all the pictures and just have to say you've really got something! Other than you're obvious knack for photography, I think it's REALLY great that even as a new mom, you're still pursuing your interests as 'Leah'. You have your family and it's clear that they are what's most important to you, but it can't be understated how healthy it is for you to have and maintain the other pursuits such as soccer, gardening (which, I saw those posts, you're really good at it... wanna come to Texas to help me plant a porch garden?) and photography that you had before little Issac came along. Before I logged on to your site, I was just thinking of all the interests that I have outside of just being a mom and thought I'd write a post about it... Thanks for sharing yours!
