The Answer

In order to wear the dress that I did for the shower, {which btw thank you! I had no idea it would get such reviews. It's not maternity, it's actually a sample from my Target corporate days, so I have no idea if they actually even ended up selling it as the sample I'm wearing!} I had to shave my legs.

Just as an FYI bending down or over really is just as bad as you would assume! So I did what any woman without a bathtub would do. I sat down.

That's right, I just plunked myself down in the middle of that of that neo-angle base and did the best I could do given the circumstances.

And then. And then.

I got stuck.

There was literally no way for me to get up. It was a toss up between pulling on the shower curtain and crawling out on my hands and knees.

So there I sat on the bottom of the shower with my freshly shaven legs and I hollered for my hubs from the basement. He came and rescued me.

It's the most pitiful moment of our relationship lol.

Maybe your most pitiful moment, but the best story I've ever heard. That's one for the baby book.

Hilarious!

While reading this, I thought you were going to say that you rolled over and crawled out of the shower basin... hilarious.

I'm glad your husband was around to help you! What a mess!

I'm not laughing at you, but near you. That's definitely a story you need to share with your little baby bliss.

I am really more of a "that's funny" kind of person, but I laughed out loud at your little story. Sorry! I guess that is one of those wonderful pregnancy moments that you will never forget :)

You get to meet your little guy soon! Yay! BTW I meant to guess May 3rd, not May 13th. I was not trying to wish you a horribly long pregnancy...

Absolutely classic! Thank goodness he was home to help you!

Love it. Please make a 'pregnancy album' or a diary or something with this entry in it. Only then will baby bless know how much you endured for him:)

And, on a fashion note, I have that dress!

If that's the most pitiful moment, you're doing pretty well :-) That shower (I mean, the bridal shower!) looks like it was so much fun.

Also, this is completely random, but I was hoping we could exchange email addresses if that's alright. I know you may not be blogging as much when the baby comes, but it would be great to keep in touch - or just have another way to communicate "off the blog." My email address is simplylivingsarah@gmail.com. Holler!

Awwww! I kind of giggled at this.. marriage is humbling as it is, but I imagine the things you have experienced pregnant and will experience in the next few weeks and during the whole giving birth process will be even more humbling. Glad you guys can take it all in with a laugh! :)

OMG - now THAT is a visual, Leah! Too funny!!!! I remember feeling this way with my pregnancy (ie; I wore flat shoes so I wouldn't have to BEND OVER to tie anything!)

Umm, its probably your most pitiful moment now...but wait until after the labour and delivery... there are many things you and your hubby will share that will bring your relationship to a WHOLE different level, lol.
