VOTE IN MY EXPECTNET POLL! :)

So, on average, at this time, a baby weighs about 6.8 pounds and measures about 14 inches from crown to rump and 21 inches total in length. Baby bless is still growing and gaining weight and may gain as much as 1 ounce a day at this point.
Also, his testes should have descended into the scrotum by this time, although about one percent of boys will have undescended testes. {not that I know any implications if they haven't!}
That crotchety feeling has still made a few appearances, but so far it has not been consistent {thankfully!}. Additionally, there have not been any Braxton Hicks or signs of false labor as of yet.
Our plans for a natural birth are totally by the seats of our pants, so I truly hope that it is not a disappointment to any of you all if we are not successful. I want to go into it with the mindset that childbirth is something that God artfully created my body for, although that whole bit of adding pain to childbirth in the Garden of Eden doesn't mean that He completely shaped our bodies so that it was easy per se lol. I've always been told that I have a high threshold of pain and am stubborn to a fault, but if we get in there and I just can't do it. Then I'm not. I'll ask for that epi and my husband will support me through that as well. Our absolute main goal, of course, though is to avoid a c-section - if avoidable, obviously we will not put the baby in any jeopardy!
Baby bless might just stay Baby bless too if Tony continues at the same pace in narrowing down the list of potential names! He's down to two, but absolutely no progress on middle names.
I thought the results of the poll were very interesting. It came up because surprisingly my Mom is very understanding of our decision regarding family in the room. Tony and I have agreed to our parents being allowed to come and go throughout the labor, but when it comes to the delivery . . . it's going to be all Tony and I {well and Melissa, a crew of nurses and our doctor lol}.

Ohh, I can't believe it is so soon!!! I hope the baby stays put for the next 11 days :) I always miss your polls b/c I read in google reader... but I'm glad your Mom is understanding! That sure makes it easier :)
Wow! It's almost time...I bet you are getting excited! You look so good :) Can't wait for "baby bless" to bless us with his presence here in bloggy world!

It's almost go time!! I remember when we had little tummies and swore they were big. HA!! You look great. I can't wait to see him and know his name, the suspense!

I can't believe how close you are!!!
It's so exciting
ahh!! i cant believe you are 37 wks!! I have the same attitude about family in the room. good luck with natural, you are right our bodies are made to do it. :) You are the cutest little lady Leah!!
It's so close!!! I'm glad you're being flexible about your "birth plan." It's always best to just go with the flow. If you do have to have a C-Section (like I did), you'll make it! So exciting!
I don't remember how I've come to read your blog, I'm sure it was completely random, but I do enjoy reading your posts and wanted to comment today about the natural labor thing. I wanted to do natural labor so badly, but also kept an open mind. My birth story can be read here:

if you are interested ( I know I read like a thousand random birth stories when I was getting close to 40 weeks). Anyhow, I did end up getting an epidural but I was so glad I didn't beat myself up over it, because I got to really treasure and enjoy those first moments of meeting my son.
Anyhow, thought I would comment since I read all about your life now:-)

Holy Cow (no, not you!) I can't believe you could be about to have a baby!!! =)
I vote for April 27 since that is the best day in the entire world [ahem, bday what?] and also you would get your full disability pay. Best of both worlds really.
Also, I cannot believe how fast your pregnancy has gone....for me at least. I still remember when your belly shots were pathetic:) So excited for you, Leah!
I can't believe how fast the time has gone by!
I can't believe you're already 37 weeks! You have a great attitude about delivery.
I love how soon it's coming!! hopefully you make it 11 more days!!
oh and I only gained 2 lbs between 36w and delivery (At 38w5d)
You are getting so close! It's so exciting!
It sounds like you have a great attitude regarding your birth plans. It is not as if you can ever know how things will go until you're faced with it. Best wishes!
Oh, and don't worry about the name. My older sister once told people that the new baby's name would be "Ann". They believed her which was funny since she meant it as short for "Anonymous" since my parents hadn't yet settled on a name.
you look great! i think it is awesome you are going au natural! i am thinking baby bless will be having a diamond birthstone (thats april right?) :)
Jeez, this pregnancy is flying by!!
I have some advice regarding the natural childbirth (I may not have gone through it, but I've researched the heck out of it!). Stay at home and labor there for as long as possible. A general rule of thumb - if you can call people and tell them you are on the way to the hospital, it's too early to go in, LOL. Once you get to the hospital, it's pretty likely you'll be pushed into an epi/pitocin/c-section if you aren't progressing super fast. So if you wait until you've already progressed pretty far, you can avoid that. Good luck!
You are looking fabulous! I'm so excited! :)
Hi! I'm a friend of Ashley Lancaster's and found your blog through her's. I've been reading for a while but have never commented. I have a seven month old baby and remember very well how exciting/nerve-wracking the last few week of pregnancy are. I wish you a speedy labor, safe delivery, and a healthy baby! :o)
Eek, you're so close! How exciting! Good luck with whatever you decide to do when it comes to natural childbirth. I think you have a good attitude in terms of the "wait and see" approach, so that you aren't disappointed or too steadfast when it comes time to decide.
I have already started praying taht all works out great for me to be there! =) I LOVE that I will get to photograph !! =)
Speaking of, anytime you are ready, email me with specific details for the hospital, address, your cell numbers, etc =)
