Very whelmed.

Over - doesn't even come close to covering how I feel right now. There is no appropriate word for how whelmed I feel.

Our trip was fantastic, although as most vacations do it began to feel both long and short. I'm definitely a little bit more of homebody now and grew homesick.

That homesick feeling was tempered by news that our furnace is out of commission and that Minnesota was in for a good old fashioned March snow storm, complete with sub zero temperatures.

Apparently God wants to make sure that our home is completely ready for baby bless, by paying attention to most every major function . . .

We slept with 3 comforters last night and two electric heaters, so far no pipes have frozen.

We've got an HVAC guy coming out today. Hopefully it will be a minimal fix.

Work is going to be a drain this week. I seem to be clashing a bit with my boss. At every opportunity she is reminding me that I have the smallest workload or that I am the furthest behind and yet, in all honesty, I have never applied myself to a position more. I honestly don't know how to be better. This is my best.

Sorry, for returning from vacation, I'm very discouraged right now.

Brrr! It's so cold out. I hope the furnace gets fixed soon. Good news is that we are supposed to get some warmer weather tomorrow...that is, if you consider 30's and 40's warmer. Ha!

I hope things start to look up for you at work.

Hey sweetie! I'm so sorry that you are bumming out today. I totally understand what you mean about vaca being long & short at the same time, you just get to a point where you want to be home! But I hope you enjoyed your time in the sun! You will have to fill me in since Fort Myers Beach is my favorite place on the planet. :)

And that really sucks about the furnace! I TOTALLY understand- ours just broke down about a month ago! Ours ended up being a $200 fix, which yes I know it could have been much worse, but it is still such a bummer. I hope yours is an easy fix!

Hang in there! Tomorrow will be a better day!!

I can completely relate to a vacation being too long and too short at the same time.

I'm sorry to hear that things aren't jiving well at the job. Just keep at it - I know your heart is in the right place!

No sorry needed! Glad you had a good time, and sorry you came home to a cold house and a dork of a boss :)

Chin up!! Life is full of peaks and valleys. And you are going to be on the tallest peak soon once the baby is born!

I'm sorry you are having issues with your boss, especially when you feel you are doing your best.I can relate. Just take it one day at a time and you'll get through this.

Welcome back lady! You were missed. Don't you sometimes feel that you need a vacation from your vacation? Ugh.

Don't worry about the snarky boss, my dear. There's always always someone out there who wants to make it known that she/he has way more stress/workload/life problems than you do. Esp. if a coworker has been away. It's like, I get it, OK? As long as you're doing your best (amongst being pregnant and house renovating! Eeep!) that's all that matters.

praying for you.
If it makes you feel any better I had a complete melt down over my insomnia this morning and walked into work sobbing I feel your pain about applying yourself at work but being made to feel that you're not doing enough. I say as long as you're doing your best that's all anyone can expect.

Leah -- I'm sorry you are feeling very whelmed right now. Just keep telling yourself "I'm too blessed to be stressed." You'll make it through this! It always seems like everything hits at once though.

I'm sorry you returned to things that just aren't ideal. At. All. It's no fun to get back from vacation and it's back to the grindstone--no easing back into life. I do want to know more about FL though :)

Hang in there! I'm so sorry you're having a frustrating time. I'm kind of in the same place with baby/sleep issues. Lots of love!

I was just wondering how your vaycay went....boo for being stressed right after a fun trip! Did you at least get to see some actual sunlight?

Hang in there with the work situation. All you can do is your best, you know.

Can this weather suck any more? It's frigid out there. Keep warm Leah! I hope your furnace gets fixed soon and it doesn't cost an arm & a leg!

Aw, I'm sorry Leah. I'm glad you had a pretty good trip, at least, but it does stink to have all of that to come back to :-(

I'm with you on the overly overwhelmed state of mind, too. Ugh. I'm so sorry to hear about your furnace! I hope you don't have to deal with any burst pipes. G and I did early this winter and it was not fun. :( I hope things turn around for you soon!!
