Saturday we woke bright and early to get to work on the fence {yes, we're still working on that Kristal}. We've got quite the system down, it's 4 step:
1. Tony tacks the boards to the cross beams
2. I predrill screw holes, 2 per board across 3 cross beams
3. We hand-screw screws in place
4. Tony goes back and screws all the screws in
Sounds like fun, right? Well we're almost done with the first long side . . . and then on to the other long side. Yay.
Luckily, at the end of all of that hard work, I knew that a fantastic meal with good company was awaiting!

Sunday we tried out a new church, up in Centerville, and really liked it.
We had to leave a little early though, as I had a baby shower . . . but no present.
After the baby shower Tony and I headed to his parents to celebrate our anniversary and his sister's birthday . . . but she went out with her soon to be baby's daddy after his Grandma's wake.
When we got home, we once again were losers and spent almost an hour doing our dishes, together.
And that's the weekend wrap-up.

an HOUR of doing dishes! that sounds horrifying. I feel your pain though - we have no dishwasher.
The hummus sounds yummy - I made hummus once and it was okay - I'm thinking of trying it again soon!
Uggh--I loathe doing dishes. But, like you guys, me and my H make it a team effort.
Not gonna lie to you... doing dishes with someone "special" sounds absolutely perfect.
... please don't tell any of the guys I said that.
Thanks for your kind words, btw! You found me through google reader? How does that work exactly??
I can't believe you guys are still working on that fence!! Oh well, it'll all be worth it in the end. ;)
sounds like a delightfully uneventful weekend - I'm very jealous! Smalley's sounds tasty, I'll have to try it next time I'm in Stillwater!
I just saw that you called yourself a 'pseudo-runner' on your profile. Pish Posh. I didn't know you were thinking about doing a full! Go for it, Leah. And thank you for your kind worrds. Loved it, it was just what I needed to hear:)
Haha. After going back and reading my 2 blog entries, I figured I'd bore all my readers away if I kept going. Perhaps I'll start a more family-oriented one someday.
You are not losers.
So, when you're done with that fence of yours, do you want to come over and build one for us...? =)
You are so cute!
Thanks for stopping by on my blog :o)
