In college, I had the reputation of being a romantic or idealist. That's the funny thing about a reputation, some times, no matter how much time you put into developing it, other's perceptions are wildly uncontrollable.

The truth of the matter, I am so much a realist that if I honestly dwelled on my cynical expectations of marriage I don't believe that I ever would have married. So I abandoned myself to hope. I believe that the presence of hope and being an idealist are completely separate.

And so I find myself, two years into a marriage that has so blessed and transformed me that it literally shocks me.

I planned on sharing some of our first emails, but they kind of make me blush. We were so young, passionate and unstoppable. We knew what we wanted within weeks. I question our parents decision to let us marry, but see the proof in why they allowed it through our written words. At 21 I knew Tony was the man for me, that understanding was not on my own, and I'm thankful to God daily.

It should work to click on the above image to watch our highlight video.

In celebration we're going to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for their $90 dinner deal. Tony surprised me with a food processor and now I will make hummus until my heart and tummy are content!

For other exciting events, my vehicle will supposedly be fixed this afternoon and we received our proof from Phunk Lab.

Ok Missy, thanks for making me cry here at my desk! I've only cried over our own highlights chapter but yours was just beautiful. And can I say...yes, your husband is a hottie! LOL!

And I have to mention that I used to love that Shania Twain song. When Jim and I first started dating, he casually said he liked that song. I didn't reveal it at the time but I went out, bought the CD and played that one song on repeat for a month straight!

Congrats on two years!!! Have fun celebrating!!

That video was way too adorable and I definitely shed a tear or two. I always cry at weddings and TLC's "A Wedding Story"- they get me every time! So sweet and amazing that you have a video of all the different highlights. I so want to do that now when I get married- not that, that will be anytime soon though..haha.

Happy Anniversary! I hope that you have many, many more years filled with love, happiness, joy and fulfillment. :)

Congrats belatedly on your 2-year! We got married pretty young too--I was 23 and Travis was 22. But when God is directing your dating/engagment, you can be confident that He will guide you through marriage as well. You two look very happy together. I love that pic from Phunk Lab--very cool.
