In depth.

I truly apologize for the release of TMI. However, I did stop short of documenting the situation with pictures. I'm sure they would have come back to huant me as evidence of a murder scene, only joking of course.

So here it is.

After sex last night, Tony stammered out "Uhhh, Leah, you're bleeding. Alot."

No, I'm not divulging nasty sex, but rather something I'm extremely concerned about right now, as I've never experienced this before and there was nothing out of the ordinary last night that would make me think this was a result of.

Of course I hopped on the computer right away to do a little self diagnosis and came up with few answers, but increased anxiety. From about.com "Post-coital bleeding can occur for a number of reasons, and is nothing to take lightly. Anytime you experience post-coital bleeding or vaginal bleeding after sex see your physician."

Fantastic. Moving on to a more reputible site webmd. A quick search of the symptom checker reveals these lovelies:

Endometrial Cancer
Cervical Cancer
Cervicitis
Foreign object
Uterian Cancer
Vaginitis

Can't wait to call the doctor tomorrow.

This happened to a friend of mine once... her doctor said there was an internal tear, but she didn't need stitches or anything... just had to "wait it out" and be careful when having sex for the next few weeks (unfortunately for her husband, they just didn't have any at all, haha).
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all you'll have to do is wait it out too!

Yikes, that sounds scary, but hopefully it's just something like an internal tear. I'll be thinking of you!

Oh yipes Leah! I'll be praying for you - I'm sure it's just an internal tear. Keep us posted.

Oh no! I hope it is nothing major and you heal up quickly. :(

Ack! HOw scary, Leah. I'm sure it's nothing [don't you love that phrase] but I know worry can consume your life, too, if you aren't getting peace of mind. Maybe call your doc?

oh duh, you already decided to call. And this is definitely TMI: but could it be related to your cycle somehow? Like just getting ready to start or something?

KG - I'm hoping for a tear as well . . . but it would be so unusual!

Julia - not a chance that it's related unfortunately.
